This year, we celebrate 35. anniversary from the establishment of the State Intellectual Property Office!

Intellectual property has an important role in encouraging creativity and innovativeness, thus in the development of economy and society. SIPO is a crucial institution to enable your creative and innovative ideas to be fulfilled via the system of intellectual property rights. 

Our work is based on 3 key pillars:

Three pillars operate in 5 important areas that shape our mission: 
promotion of innovativeness, promotion of creativity, social, scientific and cultural progress.

SIPO achieves its mission in the following way:
✅Recognition and registration of industrial property rights
✅Preparation of regulations and development of the national system of intellectual property
✅Provision of information and advisory services in its scope of work
✅Education, training, promotion and public information
✅Presentation of the Republic of Croatia in international organisations and other forms of international cooperation in the field of intellectual property 
✅Supervision of associations for collective management of copyright and related rights
