Examination of Utility Model Application

The Office examines whether the constituent parts of the application have been duly filed and that the invention has not been exempted from protection by the utility model. The novelty, inventive step and industrial applicability of the claimed invention are not examined in the process of testing the utility model.

In case of fulfillment of the prescribed requirements, the Office issues a decision on the registration of the utility model, and otherwise issues a decision on rejection.

The registered right is published in the official gazette of the Office, which makes the invention available to the public, i.e. the content of the invention enters the state of the art, and any interested person has the right to inspect the file.
