Filing an application for industrial design registration electronically

 

National Industrial Design Application  

As of November 21, 2023, a new electronic service for filing applications and subsequent submissions in the industrial design registration procedure at the State Intellectual Property Office has been in operation, called Trademark and Industrial Design Registration.

The new service provides a complete package of user services for implementing the industrial design registration procedure.

The service is based on a similar service for the e-filing of industrial designs of the European Union and, compared to the previous service, has a number of additional functionalities that facilitate the application filing procedure, which in particular includes integrated services of the state information infrastructure e/m-Signature, e-Authorisations and e-Fees.

Filing for Industrial Design via Regional Protection System

Protection of a Registered Community (i.e., European Union) Design – RCD for the entire territory of the European Union can be filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office - EUIPO via EUIPO’s Services for Electronic Filing an Application for a registered Community design.

 

Filing for Industrial Design via International Protection System (International Design Application)

Through the Hague System for the International Registration of Industrial Designs, it is possible to register an industrial design in more than 90 member states of the system and regional protection systems by filing a single application. One application can cover up to 100 designs. The application can be filed via the World Intellectual Property Organization's online platform (WIPO): e-Hague
