Accessibility Statement

The State Intellectual Property Office seeks to make its website accessible, in accordance with the Act on the Accessibility of network sites and softwares for mobile devices of public sector bodies of the Republic of Croatia (OG 17/19, hereinafter: the Act) transferring Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (hereinafter: the Directive (EU) 2016/2102).

This Statement applies shall be applied the website of the State Intellectual Property Office www.dziv.hr as well as to all applications thereon.

The statement was last reviewed on 13 February, 2026.

Compliance level

This website is partly compatible with the Act and the Directive (EU) 2016/2102 as a result of incompatibilities given in the text to follow.

Inaccessible content

In accordance with Article 8 of the Act and Article 5 of the Directive (EU) 2016/2102, the State Intellectual Property Office performed the initial assessment of compatibility of its website with the accessibility requirements and established that due to a disproportionate burden certain parts are not compatible with the aforementioned. It is a matter of the following parts:

  • videos do not contain subtitles;
  • alternative audio description of information has not been provided for;
  • individual databases are not accessible in machine-readable form;
  • a contrast of each individual element of the page is not minimum 3:1 in relation to the background.


Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 27 May, 2020 on the basis of self-assessment performed by the State Intellectual Property Office.

The State Intellectual Property Office shall regularly review this statement upon elimination of the grounds resulting in inaccessibility of individual content.

Procedure of monitoring the implementation of regulations

The implementation of the Act shall be monitored by the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Croatia https://pristupinfo.hr.

Inspection monitoring of the implementation of the Act shall be performed by inspectors and other authorised officials of the Commissioner’s Office.

Provisions of the Act on the Right of Access to Information (OG 25/13 and 85/15) shall be applied to the monitoring.
